Number of results

In this test, we check if it is technically possible to rank a page of your site on this term or this expression.
With this intention, we use Google and simulate a query for this key word (or this expression) on the search engine (http://www.google.com/).

Then, we report the number of results found by Google: The competing aspect of the keyword, and thus the feasibility of a positioning, could be provided by the fork of following results:

- Up to 20 000 results: no problem, you could rank a page on this term by optimizing in a professional way the Web pages of your site: title, text, links, meta tags, etc.

- From 20 000 to 100 000 results: competition is stronger, it will be thus more complex to rank your pages, but that remains possible. That will take perhaps more time and will require a finer optimization, but you have your chances...

- Beyond 100 000 results, the approach is more difficult. Nothing is impossible, note, but few guarantees are possible... You will not badly need work and a little chance to arrive at Graal of the first positions in this case...

Of course, there is a considerable additional factor, which is the aggressiveness of your competitors on this level. More there will be actors who try to reach, by the optimization of their pages, the ten first places, more the task will be difficult... In addition, the forks above were dictated to us by our experiment. They are thus empirical. You can have other ideas about these numbers, in particular according to the sphere of activity in which you work...
